Nickname/Alias: Just Rold. Sometimes Baldman.

Ethnicity: Whatever Egyptian/Spanish/Romani blood is.
Nationality: American
Fantasy Connection: He comes from a long line of witches that are, because of stereotypes, called Gypsies. There doesn't seem to be another word for them though - he, like his mother, has psychic-like powers of perception and some mind reading. He cannot influence others, but more like a combination of his intelligence and powers he can read and understand people very well. These abilities are more latent, however, his main powers being that he has increased strength, endurance, and a strong affinity with fire. This is not ordinary fire, but the Fire of the Soul - Think like Phoenix from Xmen, the movie version. Psychic powers that manifest like fire - AKA as he develops, he develops telekinesis and limited control over others.

(Don't worry, he's not MS and I'm describing him here at his full power as an adult. Not as a student.))

My Version of Gypsies - Witches whose powers are more typified as being psychic, but accessed through magical means.

Height: 6' and still growing.
Weight: 180 lbs and growing, all muscle. <3
General Appearance: He's tall with a deep, but not dark, tan complexion. His body is well proportioned and quite muscular due to manual farm labor back in his home town. In his right ear are three earrings that are significant to him - one is a family identifier, the next is a protection charm from his mother, and the last is a Blessing from his great grandmother who saw his potential in wielding Soul Fire. On his left ear is a single earring that symbolizes his independence - well...he also got it to even out how he looked. Too many earrings on one side, not enough on the other. xD

His eyes are amber colored, which look yellow against his skin tone. He covers them with a slick pair of shades. He also shaves his head, as he has no idea what kind of hairstyle suits him - a bowl cut when he was six did NOT work out for him.

Distinguishing Features: He's big, bald, and wears shades. He's unmistakable.

Personality: Rold is very patient, low key, and very quiet. He doesn't say much, but just the air around him seems to give off what he's feeling or thinking. His voice is still developing, but at 17 it's deep and rich for his age. He's something like a gentle giant, in that despite his size, he's very graceful and deliberate in his movements, and he harms no one. On the other hand, he's not easy to get close to because he's so secure in his self efficiency that he rarely goes out to seek out friends. He is very quiet but not shy - he has no problem walking naked to his room if someone steals his clothes from the shower ( *glare at Auro* ). Even so, he is quite reserved and conservative in his appearance and behavior - he's proper, timely, and everything he wears is spotless and crisp.

Background/History: He worked since he was a boy for his family. One uncle owns a farm, another a dairy, another a store, and an aunt a furniture company. He hails from a small town with a big family, and he always had something to do for someone, which taught him excellent work ethic at a young age. Through physical labor he grew strong, and through the extensive magical and school education he received from his parents and school he grew smart. Otherwise, his life was fairly uneventful, and it became apparent that he was a big fish in a small pond.

At sixteen, he was working a job as Silent Cashier at his uncle's market when Auro breezed in and demanded a job. The vibrant redhead and his low class cityboy behavior was a shock to him and his family and Auro's arrival would act as the catalyst that forced Rold to reconsider his future. While the pair developed a close friendship over a short two months, Rold came to the conclusion that he wanted out and to go and do bigger things than throw hay to cows. This caused a stir in the family, who liked to keep to their own, but at his great grandmother's insistence, the drama ceased.

Rold would be enrolled, perhaps a bit late, into a magical academy, and the strange Auro would go with him.

Other:
- While pushing himself in his training, he can get nosebleeds or headaches. Sometimes he gets migraines bad enough that he's bedridden. According to his mother, who has similar to powers to his own, this is normal as he becomes more powerful - "Every ounce of power must be bought one way or another. Kind of like cocaine."
- He's a softy on the inside.
- While he's well aware of the emotions of others, he himself is fairly evened out. He's so patient that he can wait through almost anything, including emotional difficulties.
- When he's angry....Well. A locked jaw and massive squared shoulders is usually a dead giveaway. However, he's not violent usually, and his retaliation is usually either passive aggressive or...well, very very sneaky. He has the patience to wait weeks before someone gets payback. ;D
- Auro does most of the talking. But that doesn\t mean Rold is antisocial - he doesn't mind hanging out or having a (short and quiet ) conversation.
